chickpea soup–
a little sun
in a cold day
Comment: a piece of work with a juxtaposition (toriawase 取り合わせ) that basically plays on the use of senses (taste, touch and sight). It also emphasizes the contrast between the asymmetry (fukinsei 不均斉) of the legumes and the perfect shape of the sun in line 2. A sense of sublety (hosomi 細身), along with an elegant simplicity (sabi 寂) and a subdued fascination, also permeates the poem in its entirety.
Thank you so much… I am very happy!

Delightful! On a cold day there is often something very special about a favourite soup.
